FelipeMA88
Ok, more than a month ago I made a topic here about LOD (LINK HERE). After days, watching videos and reading huge texts, I generated more than 9 different LOD's and finally managed to make it work. Everything was perfect until now....I went to do the main quest and when I arrived in the region around Ivarstead, I came across the LOD of the land with a loading failure. EDIT: it is happening in all regions far from whiterun, because it was within the city of whiterun that I generated the LOD. IMAGE 01 IMAGE 02 I tried the LOD Unloading Bug Fix but it is not fixing the problem. I disabled LOD and the problem disappeared. I need the LOD because of the distant textures that are flashing. And now I'm lost, tired and I don't know what else to do. Every day in this game is the same, I play for 1 hour and then spend 2 hours fixing some random bug. That's why I'm spending more time here on the forum than playing... I really needed help, if anyone can I would appreciate it. If no one can help me I'll give up, I'll be left without LOD... radiusrsatti
can you get baseid or refid of the faulted terrain from console? May simply have to disable all the bad instances as you come across them, or find a common thread and edit/regenerate LOD to compensate I don't know your process, but did you generate with Dynamic LOD enabled, on the advanced screen? from my experience, it wasn't a desired setting... I didn't like it due to heavy scripting, significant lag for my modlist, and I tended to notice a lot of inconsistency during playtesting... another possibility could be the Terrain underside distance, might give increasing the value a shot and regenning, also I haven't come across this particular kind of fault, never anything close, but I'm willing to bet I don't play the same versions as you... I don't think I understand your comment "because it was within the city of whiterun that I generated the LOD." What does that mean? Puzzling it out, it sounds like it means that you went to whiterun, saved, exited, generated LOD for your running game, and went from there? which, theoretically, should be fine as long as you didn't have a previous set of LOD running before change, unless you went through the process of unloading that LOD, cleaning your save by save/reload/resave, then loading the new LOD per DLOD's instructions if it helps keep your frustration in perspective, I've been building my current modlist and patching it for now on 2 years (I keep adding and removing stuff and upgrading my PC to keep up, it's insane :P), but have never played more than 10 hours on a single run lol... all I can say is, if it's important to you, keep at it, you'll get it eventually.
