Learning AOE Spells and Attack animations differently

I was watching something on Youtube last night that made me think of a mod that helps you learn AOE spells and attack animations based on books that provide Lore. Excluding Spells Books, excluding skill books. Treat them like manuals. I think it would be a nice addition. I dont know what it takes to make animations for mods, but maybe add a staggering effect when learning new animations to give it an effect of actually learning something new. Just a thought. Reply if its something worth thinking about

You made me think of an idea.  You pick up a book that has lore in it, and it has an associated spell or skill that goes with it.  When you find such a book, take it to a safe area where you've decided to "practice what you've read" (for example, if you're in a dungeon.  You decide to put off practicing the AOE spell until later).  You decide to go outside and "practice" the AOE spell.

The animation shows your character reading the book, then it shows the character casting the AOE spell.

If it's a spell that requires a target.  You can practice it on target dummies, deer, bandits (but since it's practice, the first two or three times the spell sputters and has minimal effect - so it's best to practice on target dummies.

Is this something like what you were talking about?

I was thinking of these books as manuals. That the more you progress in levels the more of an advantage you have in combat. But i was thinking for the AOE spells they would be books about the lore or the land. Maps can be topographical, i think that means you can see elevation on them, and the more books you study that pertain to the lore make your AOE spells that much more powerful

Oh, I see!  So, maybe you improve the power of your AOE spell, as you gain skill points in that skill - like normal.  However, if you find a book pertaining to that skill, you learn an advanced version of that AOE spell, thus making it even more powerful.

So, as you gain skill points towards an AOE spell, like Lightning Storm, the thunder bolts get more powerful and does more damage to multiple targets (AOE).

However, if you find a book about the Lightning Storm spell, you learn an advanced version of that spell.  Now the lightning bolts, not only shocks them for damage like before, but now it also causes the targets to shake so badly that their offensive attacks are uncoordinated and they miss a lot of melee and bow and arrow attacks.  Or if they do hit, they do very little damage.

Also, however, their physical defense is greatly lowered because they can't move well after getting hit by the improved Lightning Storm attack.  So, they are easier to hit, and easier to hit harder (more melee damage per hit).

This what you mean?
