After Dragonborn dlc

Hello,

We indeed have many high-quality mods that add quests as rich and immersive as those in a full DLC. These additions showcase impressive creativity, but it seems to me that a part of the story remains unexplored, at least to my knowledge.

After finishing Skyrim, including the Dragonborn DLC, I was struck by an idea. To defeat Miraak, the Dovahkiin seeks the help of a Daedric Prince, Hermaeus Mora, who grants him the power to tame dragons and bend them to his will. The Dovahkiin eventually triumphs over Miraak, but as we all know, the aid of a Daedric Prince is always fraught with danger. So, why not develop the continuation of this story? We could imagine a scenario where we play as one of the Dovahkiin’s companions, while the Dovahkiin himself falls under the dark influence of Hermaeus Mora. Such a plot would allow us to explore the consequences of a pact with such a powerful and malevolent entity, offering a fresh perspective on the Skyrim universe.

Obviously, the main enemy in this quest would be Hermaeus Mora himself, serving as the final boss. The Dovahkiin, as the champion of an army in the style of the Mythic Dawn, would lead this dark force. This army, devoted to the obscure cause of Hermaeus Mora, would be an unstoppable force, symbolizing the consuming power of forbidden knowledge and absolute control. Such a conclusion would bring an epic dimension to this story, where the struggle against an omniscient force would become a true battle for the survival of the soul and free will.

The major difference between the Dragonborn DLC, where you fight Miraak, and a potential sequel where you would face the Dovahkiin, lies in the motivations of the two characters. Miraak was fundamentally selfish. He didn’t fight Alduin because saving the world didn’t interest him; his sole aim was domination, which is the complete opposite of the Dovahkiin. The Dovahkiin, in contrast, traveled across the world to help his people and protect his friends.

In this new DLC, you could play as the child seen at Helgen at the beginning of Skyrim, a character who would have grown up and now remembers the Dovahkiin and his heroism, leading them to seek to save him years later. During this quest, you would encounter the Dovahkiin’s former companions, such as Lydia, Serana, the last of the Blades, and perhaps even Paarthurnax. After being spared by the Dovahkiin, Paarthurnax would confirm his redemption in the eyes of the Blades, adding another layer of depth to the story. This scenario could offer a rich and captivating narrative, blending nostalgia with emotional stakes, while exploring the consequences of past choices.
