TheMysteriousNoodle
Okay, so I've been dealing with this problem for the past week and so far I haven't seen anyone else talk ab For some reason whenever I start the Dwarf Commoner Origin, Rica keeps having the Noble Dress she has at the start of the Paragon of her Kind quest, and even though I've done everything that I could think of to fix it, the problem still remains. I even tried to uninstall all the mods I downloaded shown in the fourth image (save for the BugFixes and Combat Changes mods), and It's still there. I'm also dealing with another issue with the Female Noble Clothing Overhaul Mod also not working for Dwarf Female NPCs that I made a post for on the Mod page but that's probably for a different Topic page. theskymoves
I don't see a list of mods (sorry if I misinterpreted what you meant by 'shown in the fourth image'), but I can tell you that the file you'd be looking for that establishes Rica's appearance for the Dwarf Commoner origin arc is bdc210cr_rica.utc. If multiple mods include versions of that file, then the game will either use the version that takes precedence in the file load sequence (folder/file that is last in A-Z order), or it may ignore all of them and use the vanilla UTC. Removing or changing that file after the origin story is started won't affect her appearance, since all NPC gear assignments are locked into the game's saves... at worst you'd need to restart the game from the beginning to see any effect from removing or altering, though she might not be appearance-locked until the Diamond Quarter is entered. (Her other UTC files are as follows: during the Dwarf Noble origin, she's bdn120cr_rica.utc; during the main quest/Paragon it's orz300cr_rica.utc, and for the epilogue, epi200cr_rica.utc; none of them are accessed during the origin story.) TheMysteriousNoodle
I have a lot of mods installed but I can list off some of the Mods I have that might change some of the Characters and NPCs (excluding mods that don't affect any of their appearances) : DA Redesigned Improved Atmosphere Tucked Hair Brosca - Castless from Dust Town (with Strawberry Hair, Tucked Hair, and Sten and Sigrun Retextured Faces from Awakening Companion Overhaul and Unique Face Textures for Companions Mods) Noble Dress, Clothing, and Combatibility Overhaul Mods (Clothing Mod part not working) More Hairstyles Stubble and Scalp Replacer Light Armor Retexture Dwarves are Not Mages Clothing (So far I think the DA Redesigned and Improved Atmosphere are the main culprits for this but I'm not 100%)
zloybelka
DAvRedesigned does faces only, doesn't touch any clothes. I've checked Improved Atmosphere (IA 2.0 RC1-577-2-0-.7z\Improved Atmosphere\2. Modules\2.2. Characters) and indeed bdc210cr_rica.utc (Dwarf Commoner Origin) points to nob_f00 dress (untinted dwarf noble dress aka female Tabris wedding finery), vanilla dress should be nob_e00 aka Shianni's origin dress. bdn120cr_rica.utc (Dwarf Noble Origin) points to nob_f03 dress (same model, green tint), vanilla dress should be nob_e03 aka Shianni's origin dress tinted red, epi200cr_rica.utc (epilogue dress) points to nob_af0 (aka Eleanor Cousland dress) both in IA and vanilla, orz300cr_rica.utc (Paragon of Her Kind) isn't included in IA, should be nob_f01 in the vanilla game (red dwarven dress). To sum it all up, if you want to revert one of those dresses to their default appearance (only for Rica, obviously), delete one or both bdc210cr_rica.utc and bdn120cr_rica.utc from the override. Better use the search function instead of going manually to the respective subfolder as there may be other instances of her utc files from other mods. If you prefer face changes through the game from the Brosca - Forsaken mod, pay attention where you delete her utc files from or add back utc folders from that mod afterwards. I suspect, the cause of Female Noble Clothing Overhaul mod not working for Dwarf Female NPCs is the same - IA (and possibly some other utc changing mods) overriding their vanilla appearance. The mod author probably redressed all dwarven ladies into dwarven-looking dresses. The solution would be typing dwarven names in the search bar inside your override and deleting all their utc files (be careful not to delete any armored dwarf females, if you installed any, use the DA wiki for reference or something). And of course, you'll have to start a new game for the reversal to take effect or manually edit your save file with the pyGFF editor (or return to an earlier save for non-origin chars). As theskymoves said, the clothing/armor/other equipment is baked into your save the moment you step foot into the respective location. So, the appearance of an origin character is set very early on and remains the same till the end of the game, unless it's changed later by a different utc. Hopefully this answers both of your questions. Edited August 22 by zloybelka
