Spookydude94
Ran into a problem last night...my wife and I use the same exact PCs. I was manually updating my wife's Legacy of the Dragonborn mod for SSE when VORTEX decided to poop the bed. Had a pop-up from steam saying that "Cloud status could not update" around that time. Now, whenever I open up Vortex our WIFI on all of our devices says "No internet Connection" and Vortex is requesting that I authenticate the account but I can't through the red token at the top right because it tries to open web browser that is just stuck infinitely trying to respond. The part that is puzzling is that our internet to all of our devices disconnects whenever I open VORTEX on her computer and not mine. Seems to be a local issue to her PC and not mine. I have seen multiple threads on here and reddit about this issue and the solutions seem to be all over the place ie. CloudFlare...AVG...Firewall..Windows Defender...ISP issues. The thing is that her VORTEX has been working fine for months up until last night. My couple of thoughts: -Not an ISP issue other than our WIFI s***s the bed whenever I open up VORTEX on her computer and not mine. The ISP isn't blocking VORTEX because mine works fine. -Could be anti-virus or firewall blocking it, but would it be working for months and then decided to block her VORTEX. -Could be something up with CloudFlare because I got the popup from Steam that "Cloud Status could not update"? Any advise would be great! I am having my ISP come out to look at our internet to see if our internet could be causing the issue and try to replicate the issue with VORTEX while he is out here. Just sucks because I would hate for my wife to lose hours and hours of progress on her LOTD playthrough. Whenever I start up SSE it says the "save file is corrupt" I am assuming because VORTEX cannot authenticate and launch the mods properly. Thanks! UPDATE 1: ISP tech came out and switched the frequency. I can login too Vortex/Nexus now just fine now. Probably lost all the saves on that Skyrim playthrough though. Going to try and boot up a save from two days ago and see if the older save files weren't corrupted. Edited August 21 by Spookydude94

Skyrim won't give you a corruption message for missing mods. Corruption message means the actual save file was damaged. Missing mods just give a warning before loading the save and may lead to crashes if critical mod data is missing.

I tried booting up a save from 2 weeks ago and it still says "save is corrupted". VORTEX is working fine now. We are both pretty bummed. A weird glitch that we couldn't have helped Off topic, but my ISP looked up VORTEX and it does eat up a lot of bandwidth and can cause your internet to run slow, FYI. 7531Leonidas
@Spookydude94 Check the 'Downloads' portion of Vortex settings, and make sure that the number of threads is set as low as possible w/o affecting your d/l speed. It seems to me that multiple threads might be a problem for some connections.
