Big Red Activation Buttons not working

I am an OLD PC gamer since Daggerfall. I am familiar with installing and running mods. However, I jumped the gun and added SEVERAL mods through Steam, instead of a couple at a time. NOW, I am guessing at least one is not allowing the Big Red Activation buttons, such as the the transport in Libertalia. Now I have at least two MODS that use the same buttons, but when you walk up to them, they don't give you the option to push them. Just wondering if anyone knows of any MODS that may effect this, so I can remove it, without having to start from a really old save.

I think troubleshooting an issue like this requires a preface: Removing mods doesn't always remove all the data that a mod may have added. In other words, removing a mod and reloading a save also doesn't always "clean" the save file like one would think. There's a chance that whatever mod caused the issue will leave some dirty data in your save files created since you added the mod in question. Before starting  make a copy of your save game directory and put it somewhere then start.

With that said, I would go to an old save, remove each mod one by one and test each change by teleporting to the red button and see if it works. If it suddenly does, you found your problem. Remove that mod and hope it didn't leave some stuff behind that bites you later. Usually this will work.

Make sure you test the removal of each mod on the same old save file, not a different one. This keeps the variables to a minimum and should help you find the culprit.

If you find it the mod causing the issue, go back a few saves from your most current,  remove the mod and load the game back up.

Things hopefully will be good after that. In the future, Keep a different character save file around to test new mods or download a save off nexus to test mods out on.
