Black Myth Wukong Modding Help

Recommended Posts

I'm unfamiliar with modding Black Myth Wukong but want to swap the armors. I have the models and textures but don't know the process for modding pak files. Can someone tell me what I need to do in regards to the pak files?

Hello,
Extracting .pak Files:
You’ll need a tool like QuickBMS or UnrealPak to extract the contents of the .pak files. These tools allow you to unpack the files so you can access and modify the game assets.
Download and install one of these tools, then use it to extract the .pak files from the game’s directory.
Modifying the Models and Textures:
Once you have the files extracted, locate the models and textures you want to swap. Replace the existing files with your new models and textures. Make sure the file names and formats match the original ones to avoid any issues.     Official Site
Repacking the .pak Files:
After making your changes, you’ll need to repack the files back into a .pak format. Use the same tool (QuickBMS or UnrealPak) to repack the files.
Ensure that the directory structure remains the same as the original to avoid any errors when the game tries to load the modified files.
Placing the Modified .pak Files:
Place the newly created .pak files back into the game’s Paks folder. This is usually located in the game’s installation directory under Content\Paks.

Best Regards

Hi!
Unrealpak doesn't seem to work for me (I just get a bunch of errors) and I couldn't find QuickBMS script for UE5 games. How exactly do you exctrac .pak files? And do you know which one contains models/textures?

Edit: Nvm I found quickbms script and aes key here https://www.gildor.org/smf/index.php?topic=9049.0 + I can view unpacked files in unmodel. Now I'm stuck on repacking

Where did you get the BMS script for wukong? I downloaded the quickbms_scripts.zip but I can't find the script for wukong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
