Pc game Star Trucker bind a non bounded switch to a hotkey like lights on and off.

Hello. 

I seen how the hacking tool works but is it possible to find what triggers a switch and bind a key (when no hotkey exist for keyboard or mouse) to it? 
Example on Star Trucker Pc game to turn on lights must use mouse point to switch then left mouse click to activate. 
How to find what trigger it and bind a key say from streamdeck or is it only developer side?

Would also LOVE a mod that lets you see jobs without docking. I feel like that should just be a core mechanic
