TOLiHo
Hi. Has anyone ever encountered the fact that in a fight with Azar, Berengar becomes practically invulnerable, parries all his attacks? And if Azar knocks you down, does he come up, but does not attack? If you have, have you used mods, which ones, or have you repaired them in any way? BlickJustice
Hello First of all, it's you who should write which mods you have installed, it'll be much easier to detect the culprit. Usually, Berenger falls down quickly during the fight, it's very hard to help him survive.

From the Complete Word Overhaul mod, I took only the files responsible for the witchers having two swords
BlickJustice
Okay, I understand. Is The Witcher Russian Edits and Fixes compatible with Project Mersey? I saw the Mersey mod mentioned in the description, but I don't understand the language. The texture mods certainly shouldn't affect the gameplay in the way you described. Also, do you have any other game-breaking bugs, or it's just the fight with Azar that doesn't work correctly? I'm sure we'll sort it out eventually. According to the author of The Witcher Russian Edit and Fixes, he just corrects some grammatical errors based on Project Mercey. I just wrote to him, maybe he really accidentally did something to Berengar and Azar. As it is, I have not seen any other bugs.
BlickJustice
I understand, and it's a good thing it's the only bug you have. I suggest you try Duplicate Search Tool at Dragon Age: Origins, use the version in the old files, it's the easiest to use and very light-weighted, use it to find if a few mods change the same files. It's for DA Origins by default, but you can copy the path to your The Witcher 1 override-if files related to Berengar or Javed show up-we've got it. If files have duplicates, you can have some issues in the game.
