Convergence not starting - steam and game same drive

I downloaded convergence (today) via the downloader. on clicking the bat a window opens shortly and closes again. same happens if i run bat from cmd of same folder - cmd just closes.

What i tried:

- putting elden ring on same drive as steam

- putting content of convergenceer folder int gane folder (bat and modengine exe besides eldenring.exe)

- running bat as admin yields: can't find .\modengine2...exe (but this file is besides the bat - part of download)

 

Any ideas how to get convergence working?

Go into the ConvergenceER/Convergence and remove the eldenring_alt_saves.dll file
