RigbyJay
Now I think I've done my due diligence this time, but if this mod does exist and I missed it I apologize in advance. So I love the Sentinel Power Armor, I think it's neat, but I don't often take it with me. But because I can't assign it to a settlement I just have to leave it sitting in one spot. It doesn't move unless there's an enemy attack, and if it runs off to fight it'll stay parked where it ends up until I go find it again. I'd love to be able to park it at a settlement and just... not have it in the same spot. Or if something attacks I'd love to be confident that it'll be there when I return. I don't even need it to do chores or anything.
ImmortalAbsol
Some furniture that it will always return to might be a good solution. Like collectron pods in 76. Maybe there's a terminal attached to it where you choose if it's sandboxing the immediate area, patrolling the settlement or guarding it's pod. I like those a lot more than making it a settler, honestly. Edited October 20 by RigbyJay forgot to quote the person I replied to
rsm000rsm
So, over the weekend, I attempted to create a mod that would fulfill this request, but with mixed results. Here's the scoop. To assign the Sentinel PA to a settlement, it must be placed in "Stand Down" mode within an owned settlement, after which it can be assigned via the "Move" command in workshop mode. If assigned to a job, it functions very much like a robot--that is, it just stands there because it doesn't have proper animations to perform the job in question. I didn't get a chance to test it as a provisioner, but if that works, it is possible to limit the Sentinel's job options to provisioner only. However... I stopped testing because I discovered that, once assigned to a settlement, it couldn't be turned back into a companion. The hacking options were there, but the Sentinel ignored the commands. I'm assuming these issues could be remedied with the appropriate scripts, but that's beyond my skill set.

Thank you for checking it out, though!
