Phaeryn2015
This is surely a long shot, but I figured I would ask. Islands of Insight is a puzzle game on Steam, you connect to a server and play in a 3D world with other players. A few months ago the devs added a much-requested offline mode. The game's sales have not been good so the servers are going offline on October 30th, next week. It will still be playable in offline mode after that happens. I am wondering if it may be possible to create a mod that will allow multiplayer even after the servers are shut down. Even just 2-player co-op would be great, I guess with one player hosting? The live game changes certain puzzles out on a daily basis, and also has repeatable "quests" players can do. I don't know how complex it would be to replicate the multiplayer experience. Steam page is here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2071500/Islands_of_Insight/ The online model was never very popular and is probably one reason the game didn't do very well, but there are those of us in the player base that did enjoy roaming around with friends. Thanks in advance to anyone who might consider making such a mod.
