Danyul1917
As someone who likes to roleplay as a protector of innocents, this game is a deeply frustrating experience for me at several points and what I'm suggesting here could make a big difference I feel. There are so many fights, particularly in act 3, where it seems larian really really really wants you to just let innocent allies get murdered and move on with your game, but that's not how I like to play. They are low on health, in a dangerous starting location, and you aren't even able to target them for all healing and buff spells because they aren't counted as an ally. I'm sure others of you have ran into this and it's quite frustrating for me because even when you focus all your efforts on healing and protecting people, there are many points in which you simply won't be able to save them all unless you save scum. Most frustratingly, a spell like mass cure wounds or preserve life will often not affect these npcs. because even though they're behaving as an ally, their icon is yellow not green and seem to be considered just neutral. For example, the counting house fight, there are bhaalists placed near all the cashguards and almost always target them first. Yet these guards aren't counted as allies and can only be healed individually, which usually guarantees at least one of them is going to die, despite any and all efforts. I was wondering if there exists a mod, and if not if someone could create one, that makes it so that any npc who is fighting on your side of the battle or being targeted by enemies is counted as an ally, and thus will be able to be included in spells like Mass Cure wounds and Preserve Life. Maybe even a mod that makes npcs able to be 'downed' and still healed or helped like a party member instead of instantly dying when reaching 0 health. If anything like this exists or does in the future let me know! Edited November 7 by Danyul1917 forgot to include part of the idea
