Kahuu16 Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 (edited) After 2.0 update i noticed that my thermal plants placement detection is finnicky at best and none of my mods mess with placement or the Thermal plant and i use the thermal plant VERY OFTEN. When i say finnicky i mean that i can hover it on top of the lava and it'll STILL be RED. Yes i have double checked that i have the right material EXACTLY So i request a Mod that relaxes the Placement of Thermal Plants so i don't have to risk my neck trying to get it to work on a Lava vent Edited November 10, 2024 by Kahuu16
RedKiter Posted January 25 Posted January 25 It works great by placing the foundations floor first, and then 4 thermal plants on top + 1 transmitter.
Kahuu16 Posted February 5 Author Posted February 5 Even then its very Finnicky for me and i havent the clue why
RLTheCoolStudios Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Hello, Placing thermal plants in Subnautica can be tricky, especially after the 2.0 update. Several players have reported similar issues regarding the placement detection of thermal plants. Community-Suggested Solutions: Use Foundations: Some players recommend placing a foundation on the heat source first and then installing the thermal plants on top. This may make placement easier and stabilize the connection. (However, this doesn’t seem to work for you.) Check Power Connections: Make sure the power lines are correctly connected between the thermal plants and your base. A faulty connection can prevent the plant from supplying energy efficiently. (GameFAQs) Update or Install Mods: While there isn't a specific mod to ease the placement restrictions of thermal plants, mods like "Tweaks and Fixes" offer various improvements and fixes for the game. You can check out this mod here: (Nexus Mods link) How to Install BepInEx and Mods: Install BepInEx: BepInEx is a framework required to run certain Subnautica mods. You can download it and follow the installation instructions on its dedicated page. Install the "Tweaks and Fixes" Mod: Once BepInEx is installed, download the Tweaks and Fixes mod from the provided link. Place the mod file into the BepInEx\plugins folder in your Subnautica directory. If these solutions don’t fix the issue, it’s recommended to report the bug to the developers via the official forums or the platform where you purchased the game. This can help speed up a fix in a future update. Enjoy the game and happy underwater exploration!
