Help I'm new; How to upload a combat music replacer mod

Hi there,

So, I made a combat music replacer mod for myself that works swimmingly, but I'm new to both modding and mod publishing. When I tried uploading to Nexus, I just compressed the .esm file created when I made the mod, assuming it just all worked automatically somehow. Rookie move, I know. I cross-referenced other combat music replacer mods and it seems the file content previews of successful replacer mods contain the compressed Music folder (necessary for modding the soundtrack apparently), organized into other folders named "combat", "tavern" etc. While I know more about computers than the average boomer, I'm still lacking in the whole "how datafiles work" category, so I guess I'll ask more specific questions here.

1. How do I ensure that the compressed music files actually replace Skyrim's music? Does it just work automatically by detecting proper folder names?

i.e., if a folder labeled "combat" is created within the "Music" folder, does it automatically overwrite Skyrim's default combat music with whatever .wav file is in the folder?

2. If it does work automatically like that, what role does the Creation Kit play here exactly? All I needed was a Music folder and I was able to just assign the song files to the Music Types in CK, so this is kinda throwing me off.

3. I also want some songs to play only during dragon fights. If this is how it indeed works, how do I know what to name the folder?
