DirebearCoat
I've been noticing a problem with my followers not following. I would realize that I've traveled a long distance and that my follower was not behind my character. I'd have to go all the way back and find my follower on the road, or in a field of grass, or wherever, just standing there. At first, I thought it was because I had two or three followers (I'm using AFT (Amazing Followers Tweaks)), but on this new character, I only have one follower, Raya (I haven't completed the thing in Whiterun, so I don't have Lydia, yet). This happens frequently. I have to stop a lot, to look back and see Raya just standing there. I found that if I crouch and stand up again, with the follower in sight, the follower will also crouch and stand up again, then run to catch up. This problem didn't start when I downloaded and installed AFT. It started a long while later. So, I don't know if it's an AFT problem, or just something else. What can I do to investigate, and or fix the issue? Edited November 24, 2024 by DirebearCoat
7531Leonidas
Have you tried to use the ~resetai command on your follower in the console? Sometimes the AI just glitches out.

Carajou
I've had the same problem since I started playing Skyrim SE. At first I thought it was due to my own mods. I recently updated my mods from Skyrim (Old) to Skyrim SE. I never had a problem with the old Skyrim. But now it's also the case that followers sometimes get stuck on the path and are not ported to the player even after fast travelling. The followers also seem to have become slower somehow. I noticed this right away when I played Skyrim SE. (Without any mods). Since I use my own mods for followers, I got a spell that summons followers. So it's not such a problem. I would still like to know what the reason is and whether it is due to my mods. As I said, I never had this problem in the old Skyrim.
