Is there a mod to make my ship decorations/ items stay in the hab I put them in when using shipbuilder?

We spend so much time decorating our ships, and then ya go in and do an upgrade and hours of decorating is just gone. Does anyone know of a mod that fixes this? I can find boatload of comments and posts talking about how annoying this is, but so far no solutions

The primary goal would be keeping the weapons and armor in their displays, and secondary goal would be keeping furniture where I put it, if I take an empty hab and build a sick captains quarters, I'd love for it to stay if I decide to change the cockpit or upgrade a weapon system

If a mod doesn't exist for this, may I ask one of you
geniuses to make it? I love walking through my armory,
but jeez, if i upgrade my ship a little or even change
the color, everything goes into the cargo hold. It's very
frustrating. Can I get any advice?
