VinNexus
Hey guys. I decided to reinstall Skyrim (yeah, i know, big mistake) and the whole system is broken. Can someone explain to me what's going on with the versions these days??? Cause i have installed the Special Edition, but the version build is 1.66.1170, which is the Anniversary Edition? Whatever happened to Legendary Edition??? Have they transformed SE to AE?
7531Leonidas
I think that the Legendary Edition is still available, but you might have to dig around a bit for it. Special Edition is any version before 1.6.xxx, and was a 64-bit upgrade to LE, which was 32-bit. Anniversary Edition is Special Edition tweaked for more available mod slots (via .esp-FE mods and an additional header value), and has four free Bethesda Creation Club mods, along with closer integration of CC into the game menu system. There is probably more stuff, but I am still on 1.6.640, so haven't experienced the full 'upgraded' game yet. You should probably join the Skyrim forum, found in 'Game Communities' under 'Browse' at the top of the page. Scroll down/search for Skyrim (it is usually close to the top), and join any of the specific forums you wish to post in.
VinNexus
I figured it out. Turns out i had to downgrade through Steam console to 1.130 or sth like that. Then use a downgrader mod to reach 1.5.97 (which is the SE i knew). But that's a whole different mess. I can't even get the XP Skeleton + UNP to work, cause i have to guess which is the correct version for 1.5.97... Too much hussle, i just want to play... Oh well, you won Bethesda. Enjoy your 10E$ for AE. May you choke on them Thank you for the reply anyway EDIT: So the real issue was, that NMM doesn't replace actor textures and animations in your Skyrim installed in an SSD. MO2 does it perfectly. God help us all... Edited December 1, 2024 by VinNexus
