SariaRosegold
add extra weapons, adjust them inward or outward to avoid clipping, rotate them, etc, while keeping them on the actual weapon rack node rather than using something like Jaxonz item placement to fake it. also allowing for size change so you could have a massive shield on the wall if you wanted. ZeroOblivion27
This seems a bit strange, honestly. While the idea of adding extra weapons and adjusting them without using something like Jaxonz Item Placement is interesting, it could get a bit script-heavy and might lead to some unwanted bugs in Skyrim. Modding Skyrim's item placements in a way that doesn't use established systems (like Jaxonz) can cause conflicts or unexpected behaviors, especially when it comes to things like clipping, rotation, and resizing. Skyrim’s object placement and attachment system isn’t really designed for this kind of customization by default, so trying to adjust the weapons dynamically could interfere with other mods, especially if they’re messing with furniture, containers, or other placement-heavy systems. Adding size changes for shields or weapons could also break visual consistency or cause issues with physics, like oversized shields clipping through walls or floating in mid-air. You could definitely achieve this kind of effect through scripting and modding tools like the Creation Kit, but it would require a good amount of care to avoid bugs. The best approach would be using existing modding frameworks or mods that already handle placements to ensure compatibility with other mods and the game’s physics engine. So while it's possible, I’d be cautious about the potential technical issues that could arise.
