Creating 2D Tree Billboards to be used by Vanilla game (not xLODgen or DynDOLOD)

After many days of trying to fix tree LOD issues caused by some of the lesser known tree mods I use in my game, I have decided to give up on xLODGen and DynDOLOD for generating distant tree billboards, and settled for a mod on here called Perfect Terrain LOD, which seamlessly supports showing 2D billboards of any custom tree mods, as long as the tree mod itself comes with the appropriate loose billboard files. This works perfectly for my game, and 90% of my trees are displaying proper distant billboards, except for a couple of regional tree models in the reach, since the tree mods I use for that region do not come with any billboards. I would like to remedy this by creating the billboards for those trees myself, so that they could be properly utilized with Perfect Terrain LOD. There are many guides on the internet explaining how to to this with xEdit and Nifscope, so making the billboards should be easy enough for me, but integrating them seems like a problem. I have very very little knowledge of modding in general, so I hope you can forgive me if I sound dumb to someone more experienced. Here's my question:

How to I implement my billboards to work in the game? Where do I place the files? The reason I ask is because the guides on the internet are showing me how to prepare my billboards for LOD generation, but I want my billboards baked in with the tree mod itself. The Bent Pines mod comes with and .esp file that allows the game to render distant billboards without the need for LOD generation, and it works perfectly in my game at the moment. Do I need to do the same for the problematic trees in my game as well, and If yes, is there a link or a guide I can follow to set that up? Literally any help is welcome guys. Cheers!
