Skyrim has started to crash

Hey guys. Since the CS (Community Shader) update I have the problem that Skyrim crashes. I had extremely few crashes before and now I don't know exactly what the problem is. Whether it is the CS update or something else. I often can't even load saves because the game crashes if it doesn't happen when I load the game.

Here are the logs that are generated each time. Hopefully these are the right ones or feel free to ask if you need more.

first deinstall backport support because it's only for game versions before the 1.6.11xx update. You can read on the modpage that it's only for newer mods with dependency of newer versions of skyrim. You run allready the newest version.

Then try again. Check especially local map upgrade and lantern of skyrim for possible updates.

Hi, thank you very much. I don't know how backport support got in there. My bad. I checked the updates and Local Map did indeed have an update again. But unfortunately it didn't help much. I still often get CTD. Any other ideas?

"AMD_VK_USE_PIPELINE_CACHE=1"

It looks like the game is trying to use your integrated graphic. Check in your Nvidia control panel that  your game is using your Nvidia card. Also check in windows

under Settings > System > Graphics that Skyrim is using Nvidia.

Hi, I have set everything up as you suggested. However, most of the settings were automatically set to the video card or maximum performance. But I have now selected the 4070 Ti everywhere. I also changed the following in SSE Engine Fixes: CleanSKSECosaves = true, MaxStdio = 8192, SaveGameMaxSize = true and let the ReSaver clean up the unconnected instances. The game now runs MUCH, MUCH better. But unfortunately still with CTDs. Especially when loading savegames. Any ideas? If you or anyone else has any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask me!

Thanks for everything so far!

This could be some mod conflict.

You can try to download and run LOOT.https://loot.github.io/  When you are opening LOOT on the right side on top you see 3 points. Warning (should be 1 before you press Sort plugins), Errors (should be 0) and Total messages (depending on your mods, by me 25).

When you have something over 0 by errors the chance is high for crashes. Under this 3 points you see your plugins. When you scroll down you see the messages (blue) or/and your failures (red). Follow the steps what is written under the plugins with failures. Messages are not so important but take also a look.

On the left side down you see a small stripe with "Filters" written on it. Here you can filter what you would see. I have only marked Hide Bash tags.

Don't use LOOT for actual sorting if you start your game over Vortex because this is the same engine they use but using different files to give the load order to the game. Use it only for fail search. If you would use LOOt as your standard sorting tool you should install/deploy your mods with Vortex, close Vortex, Start LOOT, sort and apply loadorder, start the game direct over skse64_loader.exe. I use it like this because i think it is easier to change the load order with Loot.

A other reason could be the enginefixes.toml. If you have changed Memorymangaer from true to false and changed Scaleform allocator from true to false to get Racemenu morphs/scaling working change it back to true after you are finished with Racemenu. I was searching many days for this problem because nobody was saying that you should change it back after Racemenu. The reason is that some/many mods, especialy body/morphing and so on, depending on the memory manager and scaleform.

To the end you can start a new game and see if you get the same crashes. It could be that this is necessary. A last idea is to use not only Remove unattached instances/undefined elements but also Reset Havok in the Savecleaner. It is sometimes also necessary to clean a file.

PS: If possible you should install Steam for best performance not under Program files but on a second harddisk directly as for ex. D:\Steam. There are 2 reasons. The first is that Skyrim has some problems with the lenghts of the path name and the second is that you get a much better performance if you have OS and program on different HD (the last is true for every game).

Hello my good man. I'm sorry for not replying for so long. I now have Loot and have done everything you suggested. Loot gave me 2/3 error messages, but they just said that patch XYZ is already installed elsewhere. I just disabled those things. My mod list is sorted exactly the same by both Vortex Loot and Loot. I don't know if that's good or bad.

The idea about the SSE engine fix and the race menu doesn't apply. To be honest, I don't even know why I installed the race menu. I don't think I ever used it.

With the ReSaver I have now done everything except reset Havok. I'm a bit afraid of that. If the programme itself warns me about it.

However, I have now taken a closer look at some of my mods and read the reviews. For example: After I made some changes suggested by the community shaders, the CDTs became much less. I rarely have any now and unfortunately I don't know why. 90% of them are in caves and with animals. Some users are reporting CDTs in conjunction with The Dragonborn's Bestiary, but I can't say for sure if it's due to SkyTEST - Realistic Animals and Predators SE.

Here are some of my latest Clash logs. Maybe you can do more with them. Unfortunately I haven't figured out what they're trying to tell me yet.
