Jaylookner
Hi, i reaaallly need help with this one, so much so that i wanted to reach out. After i’ve played Fallout 4 for about 2-3 hours, no matter where im at or what im doing, some textures in the ground, npc’s, objects turn completely black, and after i press tab or i try to reload a save, my game just straight up crashes to desktop without any alerts or notifications. I dont use any mods currently in my gameplay or in any of my saves. I do own Far Harbor and Nuka-World DLC’s but so far none of them have proven to be the culprit. I have the i7 7700k cpu and the Geforce rtx 3080 gpu. No lag or any kind of stuttering during gameplay. I’ve even tried low and medium settings, i turned off godrays and weapon debris completely, yet the same thing occurs every single time i reach 2-3 hours of playtime. I dont use the load accelerator either, its just straight up vanilla with no additional features. Is there any known fix for this? Because it seems its caused either by the game itself or a setting which i am not aware of.
Frogzilla82
If you have steam, try verifying the game. Also check the computer itself with sfc /scannow at a admin dos/command prompt. Can also try to run a DISM scan at a admin dos/command prompt. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system-files-79aa86cb-ca52-166a-92a3-966e85d4094e Also update video driver. Turn off weapon debris if its on. That would be a start.
