Mattremote
My Skyrim SE/AE was working just fine yesterday. Today, I can't get it to load. CTD after clicking on "continue" or loading a save. Also crashes almost immediately with a new start - dumps me just as the game is about to fade in to the opening scene in the cart. I think it's a graphics problem but not sur e. I did update a few mods at some point but for the life of me I can't recall which ones. The crash log is attached, if that is helpful. I would be grateful for any assistance or hints! Thank you! 7531Leonidas
In Vortex, you can order your mods by descending installation date, which will show you the last mods to be added. I would not be surprised if MO2 has a similar feature. When Skyrim stops working all of a sudden, the first thing you should probably do is verify the game files, UNLESS you are not running the latest version. If you are not, it can still be done, but is a bit trickier. If you clean your game masters with xEdit, you will have to re-clean them after a verification, if any changes are made. weiht68
It looks that skse is trying to read a memory block which is not available. Have you maybe changed/updated something around enginefixes and/or SKSE directly? This problem occurs mostly if you for exempel change in enginefixes.toml MemoryManger from true to false or back on a existing save after a longer playthrough. The next thing you can do is to reinstall the lastes VC runtimes (for both X64 and X86). https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170 Otherwise check the NvidiaControlpanel if maybe the last update was changing something (reset on the first page under Manage 3D settings to Default and set under Program Settings for Skyrim everything you need according to your setup. When you get still crashes try to start a new game (after reinstall VC) and please - don't copy your crash log in a word document
