PREPPING FOR JAN 23, 2025: FF7 REBIRTH COMING TO STEAM, MY HOPES ON MOD IDEAS:

These are just my hopes / dreams / predictions for FF7 Rebirth modding when it releases, already have it pre ordered:

 

Freys Crescent REDUX - An Redux of the freya crescent mod given beautiful HD graphics and full animation from intergrade. An worthwhile addition to the next generation of gaming.

 

MOVESETS - Wanna replace an main characters movesets? Now you can. Have Cloud, barret, yufi, tifa, or even Cait Sith behave like one another or each other or even sephiroth from the introduction.

 

TRIVIALIZE MINIGAMES - Trivializes minigames by making them super easy, while not getting rid of them entirely.

 

KAIZO MODES - Alternative mode where enemies get replaced and upgraded and bosses can be taken in duos. Reinroduce old members, and add new ones along with...

 

NEW GEAR - FF7 Intergrade had a few mods that allowed you to combine all the offensive magic materia, learn reflectaga and its physical counterpart, allowed you extra materia line slots, and all around new gear, with an new engine this could even make this process easier!

 

More enemies - ever find it odd that the tombs of the Gi weren't being investigated by shinra despite Hojo attaining Red from the ruins in his flashback? Or how Shinra never seems to have copters as air support? An more enemies mod, along with Enemy infighting, could be just what ya looking for. Adding an challenge while not making it kaizo levels difficult.

 

Different types: Golden Enemies - An golden shinra soldier a day the bills on Gil will pay!

 

Hero skins - Anthromorphize your heroes without the need of enfeeblement rings, or create custom transformation rings to bring your heroes from your favorite final fantasy titles, new and old, back by adding in new rings that are the opposite of enfeeblement rings: empowerment rings.

 

Timing Schmiming - Summon Crystals wanting ya to put down tape on your screen cause you have an disability like I do? Make timing not even bloody matter, or easier for all of them sounds welcome.

 

And so much much more!

WEMOD - Play how you want to play, today, night and day, all is yours at as cosmic canyon buffet!

I Just want two things.....a FF7 Rebirth fix aka a mod that will unlock the framerate on cutscenes...i want the same treatment that the FF16 PC Version got and remove the performance limits.

The mod I want most is to replace the various weapon models with those of each character's canon weapon. No matter which weapons are equipped, Cloud will visually be using the Buster Sword, Barret will be using Gatling Gun, etc.

Should be a quick and easy mod to make for anyone who knows how to edit Unreal Engine files (which I don't).

The same mods were made for Remake very early on, so I'm hoping for the same in Rebirth.

Would definitely like to see a reprisal of the annoying noise silencer, so jukeboxes don't disrupt the bg music, Chadley doesn't yell at you all the time, the horrible game-ified collection of the big materia springs would be less so, and the walking through the inn after tifa in an emotional moment, would be ruined by obnoxious jazz music. etc.

also, perhaps some way to stop companions from walking through the environment objects causing mayhem?  It was funny at first but now it just breaks immersion, especially if I'm carefully walking around said objects.
