Is there a way for Stellaris to recognize my Steam-downloaded mods like it did in the past?

I use NexusMods for my mods but there are some that are only available on Steam. Luckily for me I also have Stellaris on Steam (with much much less DLCs though) and in the past I was able to install the Steam version, download all the mods I wanted through Steam, uninstall the Steam version, install a complete version with all DLC and this version (from the most well known repacker) did manage to recognize all the already installed Steam mods somehow.

But after some time I uninstalled the game and deleted the mod files to make space. Now I want to play again. So I did the thing again, but my current version of Stellaris doesn't recognize any of the mods.

When I open the dowser.exe, all the mods have the red warning "This archive path in this mod's descriptor's file is invalid or does not exist". I see the Steam-downloaded mods are indeed still there in Documents > Paradox Interactive > Stellaris > mod. (Each mod is saved simply as a file named something like ugc_687037851.mod, they are not in the format of a descriptor.mod + folder like they sometimes are when you download them from sources other than Steam)

Any tips?
