blaczero
I have searched for a solution for this all over, read articles, forums, watched youtube vids. I am running skyrim AE from GOG on linux via Lutris (wine). I have no problem running the game, I can even run with hundreds of mods, and just let SkyUI be broken (inventory just takes extra seconds to open) Even from a fresh install from GOG, download DLC's and patches, and the only mods being SKSE64, unofficial skyrim patches, alternate start and SkyUI, I get this error. I've tried the GOG ver of skse64 on nexus, the regular ver, and also downloaded from https://skse.silverlock.org I cannot get rid of this error. Any ideas? jjb54
GOG - version, you need to know the version GOG is ... ( if you did not allow Beth. to do their stupid updates ) It could be the SE version ( if you are using the current one ) might now work. You might need to down grade to a slightly older version. Thanks, is there a way to find the game's ver, without right click / properties = ver? I am running linux and I do not have those properties on the file. I searched for a console command to check ver but couldn't find one
jjb54
I know nothing about LINUX - When did you buy the GOG version and would they have a record of this?
blaczero
If anyone uses Lutris or WINE on linux let me know what you think but I have tried the following skse64 versions, still same error with each ver. skse_1_07_03.7z skse64_2_00_10.7z skse64_2_02_06.7z skse64_2_00_05.7z skse64_2_00_20.7z skse64_2_02_06_gog.7z 'Skyrim Script Extender 2.0.20 steam.7z' 'Skyrim Script Extender 2.2.5 steam.7z' 'Skyrim Script Extender 2.1.2 steam.7z' 'Skyrim Script Extender 2.2.6 gog.7z' 'Skyrim Script Extender 2.1.5 steam.7z' 'Skyrim Script Extender 2.2.6 steam.7z' 'Skyrim Script Extender 2.2.0 steam.7z' 'Skyrim Script Extender 2.2.3 gog.7z' 'Skyrim Script Extender 2.2.3 steam.7z'
blaczero
I just found this on GOG, could it be that my ver is 1.6.12? I don't see an SKSE64 for that ver.
7531Leonidas
The 1.6.12 refers to the Vortex version not the Skyrim version. Vortex is currently on version 1.13.3.
wfandrews
I do not know if GOG downloads a different version depending on what OS you are using. I do not believe so but I have been wrong about these things before. I have been playing the GOG version of SSE AE for some time and the latest version, as far as I know is 1.6.1179.0 and the SKSE is 2_02_06_gog. 7531Leonidas
BTW - I also got this error notice just a day or two ago (a Steam 1.6.1170 install), and it was because I had messed up when installing the scripts. Double-check your installation.

Double-check your installation. Thanks for the feedback everyone. Case hell... I went into my data/scripts dir and there are dupes of every file in the SKSE64 archive, one with upper case and one lower case. Seems some of the skse64 archives are upper case first letter and some are lower. I am going through everything and verifying case. I'll report back with what I find
