I am running linux and I do not have those properties on the file. I searched for a console command to check ver but couldn't find one I believe the game version is displayed somewhere on the system menu screen in game. Sometimes it will be on the main menu depending on the mods you have installed.
melvinius
^ Yes, here we go. System menu, lower left, you can see the game version.

Very nice, appreciate it. I have solved the skse64 problem by fixing all the case issues and reinstalling. As soon as I copy all my mods back the problem comes back. I am not sure what mod is f'ing with skse64 at this point. I'll have to reinstall each mod 1 at a time.... ug

If you're one of those people that keeps everything updated, then you should be running the most current version of Address Library alongside the most current version of SKSE. Makes sense, however it looks like all the new address library are for AE, while every time i start the game AE it is messed up (i get SKSE64 error 1). If i start as SE, everything seems to be healthier. So odd. When i start AE or SE, it shows as 1.6.1179 by the way, so i don't even understand what the difference is. Maybe just the mods it tries to load.
7531Leonidas Posted yesterday at 04:47 AM Share Posted yesterday at 04:47 AM @blaczero Nope, 1.6.1179 is the GOG sourced equivalent of Steam's 1.6.1170 SE version. Did you get Skyrim from GOG.com? Trying to use the SKSE for the Steam version on a GOG SE will break SKSE, and vice-versa. Make sure that you grab the right SKSE for the exact version of SE/AE you have installed on your system. When you go to silverlock.org, find the one that ends in ...GOG. Unfortunately, it has a matching version number with the Steam version SKSE, with the exception of the "GOG" suffix. I don't know what you are trying to say, WRT "start the game AE" vs. "start as SE". What kind of option are you using? Is it the GOG downgrade feature? I run a Steam install, so I don't know how that works...

It sounds to me like your troubles are coming from inconsistency in the versions of components you have installed. You absolutely can't mix and match. If you have GOG version whatever, make sure that your SKSE and your Address Library versions are specifically for that GOG version.

Yes my Skyrim SE is from GOG, when I start it, there is a menu option for either SE or AE. However, both ultimately are the same version inside the game. If I install an AE version of certain mods (like fus ro d'oh), and start the SE i get the skse64 error about the version of a mod not being correct. If i start SE version, i have no errors (and i am using the 2.2.6 skse64 GOG ver)

7531Leonidas
Is it possible that Skyrim Special Edition is only referring to the version with the four 'free' CC mods, and Anniversary Edition has the 20+ additional paid CC mods?
