Mod Idea: Character Height Overhaul

i do believe some characters in the default game are shorter than others, like most females being shorter than males and some males, like Javier, being of slight stature. But realistically, there should be more variation in the game. There are two mods that change John and Arthur's height to 6'2" and 6'1" respectively, which kinda proves this to be possible. i'm guessing changing the heights of important characters might make the game a bit buggy since their animations wouldn't quite fit their height. I'm not sure. I don't know how the game's engine and AI works. They seem to be responsive of where a character's face is.

The average height of a male in the late 1800s was around 5'7" - 5'9". As for a female, it would be 5'3" - 5'5". With that in mind, Here are some heights I think would best fit the main characters of the game:

Arthur - 6'0"  - i think he should be tall. he looks like a strong, brawny guy. 

John - 5'10" - definately slimmer than Arthur and never struck me as a tall guy. maybe slightly above average 

Dutch - 6'3" - i'd imagine him to be one of the tallest characters in the game. the actor who plays him is two meters tall. Now i do think that's a bit too tall for a man in the 1800s, although it's possible. however, 6'3" is still extremely tall and would kinda add to the character in my opinion. 

Hosea - 6'1" - he's always kinda reminded me of smaller and slimmer Clint Eastwood when he was in his 50s. Clint Eastwood has shrunk. He was 6'4" when he was younger and now he's maybe 6'0" at most. i'd imagine Clint was 6'1" in his 50s and 60s. 

Charles - 6'1" - Charles is physically the strongest and most athletic man in the gang. I've always imagined him to be one of the tallest as well. I think the developers actually made him taller, if i'm not mistaken. 

Micah - 5'11" - 5'11" would be his height but i think people would see him as closer to 5'8" since he's always hunched over. 

Lenny - 5'9" - i think it's a decent height for Lenny. on the taller side of average, similar to John. 

Sean - 5'8" - I think Sean is around average height. 

Javier - 5'5" - Javier is small to me. If you look closely, he shorter than most of the males in the camp and is even shorter-looking in rdr1. 5'5" is a good height for him. 

Bill - 5'9" - Bill shouldn't be tall imo. to me he's always struck me as stocky and heavyset. 

Josiah - 6'0" - he looks like he'd be a tall man. his slim build and his hat probably makes him look taller. 

Strauss - 5'6" - on the other hand, i think Strauss is probably slightly below average height and has a slim build 

Kieran - 5'8" - similar case with Sean. Kieran looks a little heavier than Sean but still looks like a rather trim indevidual. 

Uncle - 5'7" - shrinking with old age. he'd be even shorter in the first game. though in the second game, he looks around the same height as every other male character. 

Pearson - 6'1" - He looks both tall and fat to me. 

Reverend - 5'7" - i think he's around average height and maybe a bit small. 

Cleet - 5'4" - looks small and weasily 

Sadie - 5'8" - Sadie to me looks like she'd be the tallest female character in the gang. 

Susan - 5'3" - might be shrinking with her age but i don't think she that short for a woman of her time period. 

Karen - 5'3" - she looks like a short woman to me. probably because she's kinda curvy so it gives the illusion that she's short. 

Abigail - 5'5" - fairly average for her

Tilly - 5'1" - looks kind of petite to me. 

Mary-Beth - 5'4" - around average height. 

Molly - 4'11" - she's always looked small to me for some reason
