SuPReeMeXX
Oh boy, afraid i might have broken something this time and can´t figure out how to fix it. Was tinkering a bit with a bunch of mods, installed them one after another and checked if everything works, all fine. Then suddenly, textures of the enviroment wouldn´t load anymore, as well as my character´s head. Body loaded normally, probably because the Body model comes from Bodyslide. Disabled one mod after another, didn´t solve the problem. Now i wanted to "un-mod" everything and start over, cleaned out all mods and stuff from vortex, deinstalled the game and installed it, expecting to get back to working vanilla Skyrim SE this way. Boot up the game, start a new Save so i can run it in vortex again after that aaaand ... are greated with picture Nr.1. I can look around, but nothing is moving. The regular story dialogue plays up until Lokir tells that he´s from Rorikstadt, from there on nothing happens, no Dialogue and nothing else. this is skyrim running outside of vortex, so i have no modlist or else to attach; if more Infos are needed, i´ll provide them. Someone got an idea what might be the problem and knows a possible solution? Thanks in advance.
7531Leonidas
What did you do exactly, when you 'cleaned out all mods and stuff from Vortex'? If you didn't do that properly, it can mess stuff up. You can also try renaming and moving the BS file folder, if you didn't uninstall BS/OS through Vortex. Well i selected all my Mods in Vortex and uninstalled them, after that i purged them via vortex which - in my understanding - should as the name suggests purge the mod related files. If that´s not the right way, then i might fu**ed up big i´m afraid. So you think the Problem might be related to some residue of one or multiple falsely uninstalled mods? if that´s the case, i´m still confused what caused the inital problem with the not-loading textures, got the feeling that this might be somehow related. 7531Leonidas
Well, unless you set it up differently, BS places output here in the Skyrim Special Edition\Data folder, just take a look to see if it is gone:
melvinius
If you don't intend to salvage your mods, delete the whole mess and reinstall fresh but use Mod Organizer 2 standalone install instead of Vortex. Trust me... I've been modding since Morrowind and have a Skyrim SE build with 4,000 mods running stably over playthroughs lasting YEARS. If you are intending to salvage your mods, since I don't use Vortex I can't really help out much. My thought is to make sure you didn't somehow break archive invalidation, but it's odd how selectively game resources seem to load. For example, you say that body meshes work fine which are loose files suggesting that archive invalidation IS working, but other stuff is missing suggesting it might not be. Did you do anything weird like extracting or moving your BSA files or otherwise "optimizing" them?
