You must turn off SLI mode for Fallout 3 to run

I was having constant CTD errors while trying to play Fallout 3, and I kept getting a display driver error all the time. After long hours of tinkering with drivers, I remembered that the game was running pretty much fine when my display drivers weren't properly installed, so I decided to see if it would run without SLI mode since SLI mode could not have been on unless the NVIDIA drivers were telling it to be on, and it is finally working, crash free so far.

Oh yeah sure I always wanted to turn my SLI off.

Did you know patches past 1.0.35 add SLI an crossfire support

hence the desire to use them over fake patched 1.0.15

There was a never ending render distance bug that would crash leaving megaton's door

which was fixed from updating drivers a few months back

You know it could be how your SLI is set up

force split frame renders an such

I just use the nvidia recomended settings for SLI in the Nvida control panel

with a driver I got a few months ago

Then 150 mods or so, without the problem you seem to be having

I don't even really know what you're trying to say.

The only problem I had with grapics drivers was that one crash upon exit of megaton

There were no other problems, and also no problems running Fallout in SLI

even before the 1.0.35 1.4 1.5 1.6 patches that added support for SLI post 1.0.35

I do remember having to set up the primary display driver in the BIOS for my SLI mother board

I don't remember much about it besides it either being a PCI-E setting or SLI enabled setting.

So really the problem you are having is either in BIOS or system settings as well, or who knows

and not so much the drivers, You're rollback to the privious driver, and drivers in general

seem to be the mask of your problem, and not the root cause, otherwise you'd be playing fallout in SLI\crossfire

Which is bad news because you got more work to do
