"Source array was not long enough"

Hi there,

 

Did anyone run into that issue ?

I just installed FrostyModManager and at my attempt to run DAV, I got a Frosty pop-up window saying "Source array was not long enough"

I have no choice but click OK, then Frosty shuts off and of course, doesn't launch DVA.

Being a noob in computer knowledge, I'm completely blocked :/

I give you more data. Here is the complete pop-up window I got when trying to start DVA with Frosty (it's in french and say : the source table isn't long enough. Check srcIndex and the length and the down limits of the table)

I had the same problem and tried to google a solution but couldn't find one.

Then I realized that I forgot to copy a letter of the encryption key, i.e., I entered the wrong encryption key.

I found no way to correct that. Removing the game and adding it again was not enough. The only thing that worked was deleting Frosty and re-installing, then entering the correct encryption key.

Edit: Instead of deleting Frosty, you can delete the [GameName].key file in your Frosty folder, then you will be prompted to enter the encryption key again.

I already removed Frosty, so I guess I've done the first step... I'll try that and come back here if your solution works for me !

Well, it didn't go far : this time, at the first try opening DAV, before anything was asked about the key, I got the message "There was an error when trying to load game using specified profile"

Hm, are you using the latest version of Frosty? I think the current version is alpha 5v2. Some older versions are not compatible with Veilguard.

Frankly, it looks hopeless :

After reading your post, I did find the last Frosty version, alpha 5v2. It runs, until I try to open DAV, then I got the "Source array was not long enough" message again, and FMM shuts down.

I use a new PC gamer I bought one month ago, with DAV and its mods as an obvious reason. I played to DAI and enjoyed the community mods during years... so I'm very, very disappointed, to say the least.

Huh, that's weird. I just learned that instead of deleting and re-installing Frosty, it's sufficient to delete the [Game Name].key file in the Frosty folder. You could check if for some reason there is already a DAV key file and delete that. If that still doesn't help, I am unfortunately at a loss.

I found the Dav key in the Frosty folder, deleted it and launched Frosty again. It asked me for the encryption key, I entered it... and got the bloody "Source array not long enough" message.

My guess is that issue isn't linked to Frosty or DAV, otherwise other people here would know about it. A search online gaves me few answers, and none I was able to use. I'll continue to play the game (not finished yet) as it is. Thx again for your time

Are you really really sure that you have the correct and complete key? It starts with 0B0 and ends with 475. Just to be sure, here's a link to the complete key: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonagetheveilguard/mods/395?tab=posts (see comment by LameJames1212) 

Also make sure that there are no spaces or other stuff in the beginning or end. 

Other than that, I have no idea.
