Skyrim SE crashes every single time I try to start a new game no matter which version i'm using.

I recently bought Skyrim: Special Edition and the Anniversary Edition as a DLC. First thing i noticed upon downloading the SKSE64, is that it said I had the GOG version of the game when I bought it off of steam. So, I downloaded the GOG version and tried to play the game. It crashed. No matter if I download it from Nexus or the website, or whether I choose the steam or GOG version, Skyrim always crashes while loading a new game. I do not have any other mods. Please help, as I bought this game almost solely so I could mod it, and I cannot.
