Adonai1979
Greetings Friends... in short: I installed Vortex and some Mods for Skyrim Special Edition. All Mods are on the left side in the "Skyrim Special Edition" in the "Mods" area ACTIVATED. No error reports. But in the Plugins-Folder below there is everything deactivated !! Question 1: Is this normal? Mods = activated, but Plugins deactivated. Question 2: Actually, I only wanted to download mods that don't require SKSE. For example, 'Scoped Bows' or 'Enhanced Lights and FX'. But somehow, I don't notice any difference in the game. Could it be that SKSE is necessary after all?? However, I haven't read that it is required." Thanks for your time und best wishes from germany
Solution ChemBoy1 Posted Monday at 01:32 PM Solution Share Posted Monday at 01:32 PM The "Plugins" Load Order tab in Vortex is for sorting the load order of game engine data plugins (.esp, .esm, .esl). The "plugins" for SKSE are .dll files. So these are referring to different things. There is no load ordering for SKSE .dll plugins. If the .dll files are present, they will be loaded by SKSE. Make sure you have LOOT enabled in the Load Order tab to auto-sort and enable plugins. Read the mod description for the mods you are using to see if SKSE is required for that specific mod. Adonai1979
Hi ChemBoy, thanks so far. I haven't loaded a single mod that requires SKSE. I have LOOT enabled. So I don't have to manually activate the plugins every time? Is that correct?
ChemBoy1
Enable LOOT in the Load Order tab.
