MMMMZZZZWWW
As you can see from the screenshot, the loading circle just keeps on spinning and the game freezes. But I can toggle Modex and even Wheeler. Up until yesterday, everything was normal. I tried disabling all the new mods I installed today but still the same thing. I use Requiem and I HAVE tried opening Requiem for the Indifferent in SSEdit and sort the order, as many on Reddit suggest. After that, the loading circle disappears, but the game still freezes. I would appreciate any help before I go down the path of disabling half of half of half of ... of my modlist, if you know what I mean... Edit: I did switch to another instance in MO2 today and started the game with a pretty different modlist. Would that somehow mess up my ini or some other file that could lead to what's happening now in this instance? I also tried COC Riverwood at the main menu, and that seems to work fine. My character can move and all. But failing to start a new game means some serious issues' going on and I definitely don't intend to leave them hanging. Update: Fixed. (I will paste what I reported at the mod's page here.) "Not sure if it's a bug, so I will just report here. I installed this mod and patched it with the Alternate Start, Requiem, Trait Thumbnails, and Three Traits for Me. When I start the new game, and choose to 'arrive by a ship' at the docks of Solitude or Windhelm, the game freezes and gets trapped in infinite loading, as in the loading circle keeps spinning, and I can't move my character (I CAN toggle Modex or Wheeler though.) After an entire afternoon of troubleshooting, I pinpointed the problem to the Alternate Start patch. When I disable it, the game starts fine. And manually starting 'Choose Traits' also causes a little wait time, about 1 second (of that nightmarish spinning circle appearing again.) Good thing is I can choose my traits normally and proceed with the game. My guess: the problem's likely either with this patch or the thumbnails has trouble loading properly in some case, because they feel like heavily imported and not elements that were vanilla skyrim friendly. (I do love the touch of them though.)"
