I was just reading that a lot of people were discovering load begone was causing them issues, and things were working more smoothly after they disabled it. Obviously it could just be a coincidence. I updated codeware, CET, archive XL, and I've only been playing for an hour, but I've only crashed 3 times. Two of the times were when I was using photomode because I wanted to play wanted to play around with the PhotoMode-EX mod's new features. The third time it crashed I was tweaking my appearance in the mirror at H10. So I'm wondering if the photmode and appended mods are the biggest issue right now. I have 500 mods, but the majority are just clothing. Oh, I've also noticed that a majority of the clothing icons in my inventory are all jacked up, and some are just blank. It also looks like all the clothing that I have that isn't a completely original mesh, but an altered version of an existing in game mesh seem to have reverted back to their vanilla form. Well hopefully we get some more updates soon. I feel like 2.2 was stabilized fairly quickly. I was going to wait to update, and then I read about the transformer option that was added for DLSS 4, and I had to try it. It's definitely remarkable the improvements in quality I've seen so far. Search: Steam CP2077 manifest only Unless you are a seasoned modder ..... don't update to 2.21 for at least a month. Then update every single mod that got updated in that month. Then troubleshoot your game to see which mods you lost because they are broken by the update and won't get updated. It may take a week of playing before you identify all the broken and partially broken mods if you have a lot. Deceptuous wrote in the update section for one of their mods: "Updated for 2.21 world data" meaning the object addresses for some or all of the CP2077 gameworld was updated with 2.21. Any mod that makes any physical change to the game world may point to a non-existent pointer now with 2.21. Just when really good housing mods dependent only on Archive XL were coming out. This is the mayhem that happens after a game update: "I've only been playing for an hour, but I've only crashed 3 times" (from this very thread) When I finally got CP2077 stabilized after 2.2 ..... it doesn't crash at all even playing for hours at the time. Avoid all this mayhem and don't get tempted by the candy of DLSS 4 if you actually play the game ..... for the next month you will loose more than you gain unless you only have basic mods. After that there will be losses but they may be minimal and balanced by the minor improvements of 2.21 Would there be anyway to revert back to 2.2 if you already installed 2.21 or are you just kinda SOL? SteveBex
If it assists, this is how I got the game working again. I updated the following mods to their latest versions... Appearance Menu Mod RED4ext Equipment-EX Codeware ArchiveXL ... and then I ran REDmod deploy from the tools menu in Vortex (it'll take a couple of minutes). I have 140 mods in my collection and - so far - the game runs 2.21 with no CTDs.
mohoxrevolution
^ Thanks! This did it for me. I just reinstalled Red4Ext and Redscript to force Redmod deployment again, and after that it worked! Nothing else helped til this.
