chubacu
I'm surprised no one has attempted to make Body skill perks (e.g., superhero landing, throwing enemies), knuckle/fist finishers, or Gorilla Arms mods (fire, poison, electricity) non-lethal while retaining their attributes. Essentially, keep them as they are but disable killing unless you hit a knocked-out enemy again (as intended). I enjoy role-playing by deciding who to kill or spare, but right now, it's hard to play aggressively without unintentionally killing. Breaking bones or throwing enemies around shouldn’t automatically mean lethal intent. This also makes blunt weapons, Gorilla Arms, and fists feel redundant since they kill just like blades. They’d be perfect for non-lethal combat, offering a way to take down enemies without overthinking the consequences unless you choose to finish them. On a related note, has there been any mod for Weapon Glitch either? Its current implementation feels pointless—just another generic damage quickhack. It could be much more interesting tactically, like forcing enemies into melee combat by disabling their weapon permanently (let it be two stacks to completely disable both primary and secondary) for a higher RAM cost or other trade-offs. Right now, it lacks a distinct function that would make it worth using. CDPR also removed sleeping darts in 2.0 for no apparent reason, and melee/blunt combat doesn't change much in terms of lethality. It feels contradictory when the game sometimes encourages a pacifist approach, yet provides few tools to support it. And literally destroys the actually aggressive non-lethal playstyle. Worse, all the variables for these changes seem to be right there, just unused. So, two questions: Do any experienced modders know if making such changes is even possible within the game’s code? Are there already mods like this that I may have overlooked?
