FFVII Rebirth: fully playable Sephiroth

I know the game came out recently but I truly was expecting a fully incorporated to the party Sephiroth to be playable at this point. Most people expected this to be one of the first mods available. But so far we only got a savefile with a semi-playable Sephiroth and that's about that.

The character joins the party. All the necessary assets are there. Including his portraits, folios (from chadley fight), skills, animations, field animations, even the party menu display. Literally everything is in there to make it easier than ever.

Is anyone actually doing this?

The people at cheat engine are not doing good either. So here are the features I think would be good for this mod:

  • Sephiroth and Zack fully playable in-battle and out of battle
  • Menu presence and imagery fully displayed (all assets are in-game already, they can be retrieved from the blashback part at Nibelheim)
  • Add Sephiroth's folio from chadley post-game minigame to enable further progression
  • In-battle: allow progression through folio unlocks naturally, like any other character
  • Equipment: I would understand if his sword, Masamune, cannot be unequipped, but some special upgrades should be doable to the Masamune (like adding more materia slots, since we can't change it at all)
  • Field animation (out of battle): sword slash field animation would have to be added to interact with breakable objects.
  • Looting animation does not seem to be in-game, so that would be okay.
  • Character should be auto-swapped out of controlled character to avoid crashing the game during cinematics.

Additionally, can anyone confirm if anything like this is similarly in the works?

Thanks!
