Not operating anymore?

I have starfield and I have returned from trucking and wanted to play. It won't launch the game anymore. Even after I pulled all of the mods from the startup and cleaned out everything else.

Verify your game files in Steam/Xbox app. Make sure you are using the latest version of the Starfield game extension. There have been fundamental changes in how this game is modded since launch.

it's a fresh install and after the problem was discovered I did a verification of the steam files.

I did check around for the latest version of the Starfield Game Extension, maybe a little more looking?

It would be updated from within the Vortex app. If you were still on the old version of the extension, Vortex would be giving you a notification informing you of that. 

 

If you removed mods and verified game files, the game not starting would be for some other reason on your system, not because of Vortex. Vortex can only affect the game by deploying mods to the game, so if mods are purged, the crash on start must be for some other reason (i.e. hardware problem, driver issue, etc.).
