Devteam5
Last summer, I got a secondary drive for my laptop, where I moved all my game stuff to, including Steam and Vortex. Now, all of a sudden, I can't run any of my games with mods. The games run, but none of the mods do. It all worked before, I had Star Wars Jedi Survivor and Fallout 4 working perfectly last time (well, Survivor ran about as well as you'd expect, but the mods worked), now neither will launch with mods. Yes, Vortex is on the same drive as my games, yes the mods folder is there too, yes everything's on my secondary drive together, yes I hit deploy mods, but nothing works. Does anybody know how I can fix this?
ChemBoy1
By "secondary" drive, do you mean an internal connection to the laptop, or an external USB drive? External (removable) volumes cause lots of issues for Vortex because of how Windows works with them. Did you follow the wiki instructions on how to move Vortex? You cannot simply copy the program's files and expect it to work. https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Vortex/wiki/MODDINGWIKI-Users-General-Moving-Vortex-to-a-new-PC
Devteam5
No, I reinstalled the whole program onto the drive. I can try to reinstall it, see if that does anything. Also my secondary drive is internal.
ChemBoy1
You need to make sure Vortex is still using the correct folders for downloads, mod staging, and the program data in %appdata%
