Tabonius910 Posted February 2 Share Posted February 2 while abilities were locked behind suits is slightly constrictive if they were level locked or if suits simply enhanced existing abilities in different ways say the iron spider mcu suit makes the arms stronger than the iron spider comic suit, but the comic suit makes the webs taser webs that would make the game feel more reminiscent. Plus, they still use the web grenade so why can't we have that as a gadget to at least swap one of the existing gadgets to like with the abilities? These features made suit purchases feel meaning full rather than a shopping spree. However, I get the want to reduce some pressure of "This suit looks better but has a worse ability" Solution was in the original game (Let the player select the ability after they unlock it). Some web ideas: The Splitter web- Splits into three lines that either A: slightly cover the enemy hit while stunning them or, B: let the player swing multiple enemies and objects around. (up to 6 shots starts with 3, the second idea could be an upgrade too who knows?). Venom Infused Webbing- Launches a single projectile that upon impact with an object like a wall or npc bursts into a small aoe of venom that stuns and covers the first enemy hit (better than sonic burst w/o symbiote weakness, 2 starting shots up to 4). Of course, all the original gadgets would be awesome too, but these would probably be easier to add as they go along with most things in the game and the idea has somewhat been done for the SM Miles game in a mod. But if a feature could come from that game of course the suit mods and possibly ability mods on top of that which would be a new addition to this already fun combat system.
