How do i make a custom power armor?

Recommended Posts

like the question title, how do i make custom power armors? like with custom meshes from blender or custom paint jobs? i've been tinkering with the creation kit and the archive2 file extractor to see how to make a power armor, but i dont find no clues, all i see are some armors refering to another design or the paint jobs, i did find a t45 nif called something like "LLegt45.nif" and the other parts that make the t45, but when i open it in blender with the nif plugin, all i see is a bone with a square, then i found a full model of the t45, but it was a loading screen model that doesn't have the things i need to make it, and then i tried making a custom paint job for the power armor but have no luck again, the dds for the power armor i extracted has no logic to me, its all white like it lacks all type of color, then i give up and searched guides in how to do it, the guides i found are very obsolete using tools with plugins hard to find, like autodesk 3ds max 2016 to work with the nif plugin and make some changes (i cant export in blender in nif format) and then i found a tutorial of 2 hours on how to paint the power armor, but it was like 8 years ago and i dont know if it keeps working and maybe i lose my time, so please, how do i make a custom power armor?

3ds 2013, or 2014, not 2016. 2016 is useless. But the principle is the same, yes. Find the power armor race in ck, find all the links and resources in the archive at these links. Study the nif, copy the bones onto your own models. I didn't make power armor, I don't know for sure. But I’m almost sure everything can be done in outfit studio, nifscope and blender.
