How do i give an object like a shield in game gravity affection, so that it drops when the wearer is killed for example and it does not float in the air.

Figured it out.

New Meshes need physics assigned to them in the physicsRepressentation tab in the .mesh editing menu by selecting "capsule" and signed a preexisting definition.

Every itemd dropped in the world space needs physics assigned to them or they float in the air when it comes to shields and weapons killable NPCs use.
