Use of elevator from Contraption DLC in the CK; set him powerd-on by custom script

One of the multi-story elevators from the Contraption DLC would fit perfectly in my industrial building. The design elements of the industrial set (aka shell...) fit perfectly in terms of height.

But unfortunately these elements should normally be used by the player in the game (workshop) and not in the ck.

I've searched through all the appropriate scripts I've found to set - or better pretend - that the elevator is “connected” to a generator and can be used in-game. But, unfortunately, it just doesn't work. 

All I get in-game is a message that the elevator needs to be connected to a generator. And that's exactly what I want to do in ck.

So, my questions are:
- Does anyone have experience with using these workshop elevators as a “normal” element in ck/game?
- Does anyone know what variables or functions I need to override with a custom script (a'la ...extends xyz-script) to make the elevator operational in the game?
