Skyrim SE Issue

Hi , so 5 days ago I was playing Skyrim SE v.1.5.97 like i have for a couple of years now i run about 30 mods usually no more than that, then 4 days ago chilling waiting for WoW 11.1 to come out

thought to myself going to get some things done in Skyrim , I load it up and I get , " The Skyrim Script Extender (skse64) is not running, Sky UI will not work correctly, and the rest of the blah which is

saying the same thing, then the next one i get right after is , Race menu error(s) you are running SKSE version 0.0.0.0 expected 2.0.7.56 or greater, skse script version mismatch detected (65) expected (0)

NiOverride not found error codes (0) (1) (3) , just for giggles.

 

So i check even though i know i am running skse for 1.5.97 but hey just in case, I should point out i have not down loaded any new mods, running the same ones I always have, anyway i check all the

mods i have in case there where updates and nope, so i removed all the mods reinstalled in a load order i had already had written done and had been working to that point, still nothing the same errors.

I checked this forum goggled everything i could no results that worked, so went well, cleaned out vortex completely run the ssee i think it is cleaner through, up dated the game to the newest version

then checked all working, then down graded it to 1.5.97 , now this is where it gets interesting, i reinstalled  just these mods, Skse for 1.5.97. fnis, racemenu, skyui, exmp skelly one all for 1.5.97, ran it got the same errors.

then i thought i will run through the skse from the skyrim folder not vortex and worked fine, till i added sse engines fixes 1 and 2 and then i get the error from the folder that engines are broken, i am not 

100% sure i need to run them or have them, love to know if i do or don't, and at this point i am on day three, i did all of that up there about 15 times, still nothing, so been at it today for about 8 hours

and tried 1.6.1170 and get the same errors from vortex and yet can run from window folder the skse , i have no idea what i have done , i removed vortex re up loaded it 4 times, cleaned it, talked to

it nicely well for the most part :), still getting the same errors no matter which version i am running, i watched a few videos on load orders, ran Loot and it is saying everything is fine and for the version

of the game i have, ( does vortex just hate me ? ) lol , so not to sure what to do how to fix it from vortex, and goign to down grade back to 1.5.97 and just run though the skyrim folder, not to sure if

i have any questions  in there but i am sure there are, any help would be great  and yes i know this has been asked alot just since the last was 2020 i think thought i may be missing something

If there is any mismatch at all between SKSE and its dependent .dlls, then you will get that error, or something similar.  Take a look at ( https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins ) for some info on SKSE mod compatibility.  It is a bit dated, so it may not be fully up-to-date itself, but it is a good starting point.

You have to be very careful when installing this stuff, especially Engine Fixes and Racemenu.  FYI - NiOverride is not compatible w/v1.6+, I am pretty sure, just like NetScriptFramework.  Search around to make sure.
