DirebearCoat Posted March 6 Posted March 6 (edited) Well..., the void isn't mysterious. It's just that the wall, inside of Breezehome is missing. I installed a mod called Scholar's Library, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/67449 . However, it was clashing with Honeyside Thane of Riften, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/80170?tab=description . So, I "Disabled" Scholar's Library, and that fixed Honeyside Thane of Riften. Then I went to Breezehome, and when I went inside, the wall was missing... The wall is missing from the inside. It's a section of wall at the bottom of the stairs between the small cabinet and the bottom of the stairs. You could look through to the small alchemy room at the stuff in the alchemy room. I haven't been in the alchemy room to see if you could look back the other way. I disabled Scholar's Library, but didn't uninstall it. I haven't checked the other houses to see if there were any issues at those houses. Also, when my character goes into the area with the missing wall, the character drops down into the void and reappears just inside the front door of the house. Where should I start to look for a fix? scorrp10 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 The meshes of Library might still be in place, but the reference form are gone since plugin is disabled. What you can do: Reenable Scholar's Library. Run SSEEdit and expand Scholar's Library .esp. Expand the 'Cell' section. If you drill down 'Block 9, Sub-block 4', that is where 'RiftenHoneyside' is - delete that whole section. Save and exit. See if ti fixes your issue. 1
DirebearCoat Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 Hmmmm.... What if instead of doing all of that, I reenable Scholar's Library, and then instead of disabling it, I just outright uninstall it. Will that also work?
scorrp10 Posted March 7 Posted March 7 No. Your current savegame already has the state of Breezehome 'baked in'. Which is why it is generally not advisable to install/remove player house overhaul mods AFTER player visited those houses. It can lead to those house interiors getting corrupted, and fairly often, CTDs when trying to enter those houses. So, if it has conflicts with Honeyside, it is best to delete the Honeyside portion of the mod, but leave the rest in place. Uninstall it before starting your next playthrough if you decide that you don't want it.
DirebearCoat Posted March 8 Author Posted March 8 Ummmmm... I don't know how to use SSEEdit.... I tried looking up tutorials, and got everything from "SSEEdit doesn't work with Vortex" (I'm using Vortex and see the SSEEdit icon - which doesn't work...), to, "You have to install it manually." 1) I'm using Vortex. There's a SSEEdit icon on it that isn't working. How do I get it to work without breaking something else? 2) Can you point me to a tutorial on how to use SSEEdit with Vortex (the tutorials I found all refer to Mod Manager).
7531Leonidas Posted March 8 Posted March 8 @DirebearCoatClick on the 3-dot stack at the right of the SSEEdit icon section, then make sure that the 'Target' and 'Start In' fields have the correct file paths for your SSEEdit installation: The icon should start SSEEdit once you set those file paths. 1
scorrp10 Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Generally, when you register SSE as a game in Vortex, it will add a few 'placeholder' icons for popular tools such as SSEEdit, Bodyslide, FNIS Wrye Bash - but they will be greyed out. So, first of all, you need to actually download SSEEdit, and extract the archive using 7Zip. I personally have a additional girectory dedicated to all things Skyrim in D:\Games\Skyrim - so that is where I also put "SSEEdit 4.1.5f" folder. But some people drop that folder direct into their SSE install directory. Either works. And then you need to configure it per above post.
DirebearCoat Posted March 9 Author Posted March 9 (edited) O.K.! I got SSEEdit installed and running! I found: "Scholar's Library" (drilled down to) "Cell" (drilled down to) "Block 9" (drilled down to) "Sub-Block 4" (drilled down to) "00016BDD | RiftenHoneyside | Honeyside" (Highlighted in pink) How do I actually delete this line? Or do I delete "Sub-Block 4?" Edited March 9 by DirebearCoat
scorrp10 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Right-click 'RiftenHoneyside' and select 'remove' from the menu. If in that mod, RiftenHoneyside is the only item under Sub-Block 4, then yeah, you can right-click on that, and choose Remove Then from menu icon at top left, select 'Save'. Then exit SSEEdit. Then try testing it out in-game, See if Breezehome now looks ok, and check that Honeyside is also fine. If it did not seem to work right, you can do 'deploy mods' in Vortex. It will tell you that an esp has changed. You can choose to go back to staging version of the file. If the fix worked, then next time you deploy, and Vortex gives the warning, choose to keep the changed file 1
DirebearCoat Posted March 9 Author Posted March 9 I finally got it all straightened out. Thanks for your help! It's nice, because I was able to keep Scholar's Library active in my character's other houses, while eliminating the conflict in Honeyside. Thanks again, scorrp10 and Leonidas!
