DarkBullbzz09
I see the reason of this new design, a lot of time we surf on phone nowadays. And some people say this style is better on phone (no, its not imo, its just ugly). But dear nexus! This is a PC game modding site, who the hell uses it from phone?? Ok, you can use forum on phone. But forum has the old look At least give us the ability to choose the old style.
ToastWithKetchup
I really think Nexus are severely underestimating how much this UI change is disliked about the general modding userbase. its geniuely one of the worst site designs I've ever seen, so much wasted space and removed features/character.

methos2523
god yes, 1000% agreed... i would roll back to the old layout in a heartbeat if i had the choice i really can't express in words how much i hate this new design and layout, at least not without a long string of profanity. it's horrible to navigate through on a PC, with so much wasted space and REALLY reminds me of the blocky Win8 full screen start menu tiles thing that even Micro$oft realised was a bad idea and abandoned very quickly... why on earth would you design a layout based off of tiles that even Micro$oft realised was horrible? Please, please, please, for the love of all that is holy... and for the sanity of your user base, add an option to use the old layout and then chart how many people actually use the new layout.
Visix297
Yeah, This new UI is a definite downgrade. The old wasn't perfect but was still better overall.
MrCromulent
Not a fan of this new UI either. It's clunky, ugly, and slow. Like others have pointed out it seems to have been designed for phones... by a phone user. Which serves no purpose for PC users. The older look was far, far superior both in its appearance and user friendliness. I really hate that this is what modern UI design has come to. Nexusmods is not the only place that does this. What happened to minimalism? Why does everything have to be so big and in the way?
GarefT
oh i didnt realize it was a new website layout change.. i thought it was a bug and submitted a bug report... edit: yeah hopefully it lets us change to the old one. this is terrible. the lists are so obscenely large that i can't even navigate the mods efficiently. there's nothing wrong with it in the first place, so i don't know what justified its change. what really needed redesigning is their priorities... Steel9Dragon
I absolutely agree, they should at least give us the option to decide which design we want. At the moment they still have the old UI on the front page and it looks so nice and colourful. But once you go to for example the Skyrim SE page it's just boring grey, devoid of all the charme it previously had. And all those big empty spaces everywhere that add nothing except more rotations for the mouse wheel.
123112152
I agree that the new UI is awful. You understand that nobody is playing ultra-modded Skyrim on their phone, right? It makes no sense to optimize for a tiny screen. The craziest part is that the ability to search custom date ranges was removed. Sometimes you haven't been back in 1.5 months and want to see that range. Someone needs to swallow their pride and admit that they wasted their money on this redesign -- the old site was vastly more usable. If you give users a choice, everyone will pick the old design. For now I will try custom stylesheets like this one.
tejanabena
I realize that people worked diligently on the ui. Sometimes - sometimes changes are not for the better and people? People don't like change so much as they like options. The neurodivergent nerd here (AuDHD) really can't even handle looking at the new layout for long periods of time. It makes me ..unusually frustrated. Yes, I realize that sounds ridiculous and I'm hoping below to express as to what elements contribute to this: The attempt to look sleek failed to take into consideration that the older format provided clear borders/boundaries/columns that were stylistically distinct from one another which made it easier for us to find things. Searching in the old site was never really a challenge for me. Searching the new one? The results are presented in a format which is honestly ugly. Like - I'm not sure if you intentionally moved this way to be more in line with Bethesda and Steam, but I hate using them for anything outside of games because of the way they organize and present information. I realize the old site ui had elements that probably were older - but they were much more helpful in ensuring each mod seem like a distinct individual thing. After a certain point, because of the color combos y'all chose and because of the layout you chose, the title and text for the blurbs in each mod all run together. It ..it is categorically awful.
