After the events of Halo Wars, a faithful and diverse clan of kig-yar, pioneering genetic engineering, were commissioned by the hierarchs to devise a cure for the flood as well as provide keen, yet expendable augmented muscle for clandestine operations against asymmetrical "infestations", in all their forms, for the bogus. Provided biomass in the form of fauna, convicts and heretics alike, the clan accidentally produced a gravemind, making contact and learned the truth about the Covenant faith. Keeping it secret, the clan continued to operate under the guise of faith, and were provided extensive resources, producing a cure for their species to be applied to apex warriors with the vulnerability of increased biomass by the time of the genocide of Reach. Unlike the rest of their kind, augmented kig-yar "Inquisitors" are deployed sparingly from their clan's corvette, led by lich captains, a shipmaster and their matriarch, in the judgment of heresy, rallying transparent support from the mgalekgolo (hunters) and huragok (engineers) in secret. As the skirmisher race (t'vaoans) near extinction, the secret of the rings is learned from the clan's research by spies of the prophet of truth. Accused of heresy and worshiping the flood, the spies and the clan's matriarch are assassinated, the gravemind is destroyed and her entire clan and connected operatives are marked for death while attempting diplomatic contact with Oni on Reach after years of hunting their assets. Kig-yar Inquisitors and their captains stand 11'6" tall, (8'6" hunched), have the health of a sangheili (elite) Officer, 2.5 over-shields, constant health regeneration, headshot immunity, and can overpower and outmaneuver spartans. Additionally, Red-team is supported by two engineer AI as well as a hunter pair every round in a set. Inquisitor point-defence shields deactivate when equipping a two-handed weapon with the skirmisher shield-gauntlets as an exception. From blue-team, Inquisitor forces will face Bungie era elite players with Reach bodies and 2A heads, and Reclaimer era elite players, along with an overhauled faction of Covenant crusaders as listed: Grunts: 4-Minor, R-Minor, R-Spec-ops, 4-Heavy, R-Ultra. Jackals/Skirmishers: Retail. Elites: I-Mercenary, 4-Commander, 4-Ranger, R/2A-Ranger, 2AMP-Combat Ultra, 5-Zealot, R-General, R-Field-Marshal. Brutes: Retail Chieftain, and Up-Armored Minor and Captain. Hunters: 2A (Cannon), and HW2 Scarred (Beam). Engineers. The weapon sandbox expansion will be cherry-picked and overhauled up to Banished era as prototypes. I may or may not develop new weapons entirely.
