bigkudubull Posted March 26 Posted March 26 100% can't stand the new UI search features. It's a definite downgrade. Nexus is a massive site in many languages, so it's pretty critical to be able to sort all files from other languages if you want a specific region. Now, every time to open up Nexus home page for any game, I have to manually scroll through hundreds of mods in multiple languages to find what I'm looking for. Why remove language filter? Also, this obsessive heavy focus on Collections is very annoying. I understand that Vortex is the house brand mod organizer, but many people use other mod organizers and don't care about Vortex Collections. All in all, I spend more time than I want or need to just to find a way around the new UI in order to find what I need. It's almost getting to be easier to do a Google search for files on Nexus rather than using the Nexus UI to search. Please give us an option to use the older and more useful UI? 9

Vitz Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Please display categories on a mod's thumbnail again. Example: What the hell am I supposed to gather from this? Turns out it's a quest mod, but I had to open the mod page to find out. Why even remove this functionality? 7

wollknaul Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Honestly, just delete this whole new UI and either revert back to the old one or start from scratch again. There's just so much wasted space, it takes like double the scrolling than before to sift through mods, you can't differentiate links from plain text, overall the site just became a chore to use. 3
johnbendik Posted March 27 Posted March 27 I'm curious. I assume the purpose of the re-design was to dumb it down for phone users. Buy why on earth would a gamer (or modder) be using their phone instead of their computer for something like this? Are there any metrics on what percentage of Nexusmods users connect via phone vs. actual computer? My apologies if this has already been covered... JohnBen 5

Very unfortunate they removed this QoL feature. Also makes me wonder why the removed the text on the mods for the lower 3 ones and not the big ones above instead of having it the same. Yes please bring back the hot mods page!! It is not the same as seing the most endorsed mods of the last 7 days. The hot mods page would show these mods in useful way: the order in which they appeared at the top "trending mods" space. It was very useful if you don't have time to check mods every day. I don't want to just see every mod that was published but only the ones that made it to "trending".
