If you mean the Pipboy tile image, this has been updated to the power armor helmet image, which is more in line with the old one.

The Pip boy was used on Fallout 4 G.O.T.Y and is the current Steam artwork

No, I am thrilled that the power armor helmet is back.  My post was before you had reverted from the guy with the thumb.

previously each game on the site had its own color which would theme favicons and hyperlinks- now it seems that everything is orange. dunno if this new behavior is just a bug or if the old behavior is being phased out with the redesigns. i thought that the old behavior looked nice and aided site navigability.

Thanks for creating a compact view.

It's an interesting design but I think by hiding information unless hovered on (update date, downloads, author) reduces the usability a bit. I'm guessing you don't want the slightly dark gradient showing up on all the thumbnails? I think making that permanently visible is a decent tradeoff. Or put the dates+downloads on its own line, much like in the standard view but with smaller font and height. It will still be much more compact without a usability tradeoff.

Also, the the tile background being invisible unless hovered on. Personally I don't think that adds anything, you're already focused on that specific mod so there's no need to single it out. Or always show the background, to me it looks cleaner.

In other words, I think the top row (with the tiles hovered on) looks better than the bottom row:

Not as good as the classic view but at least not as wasteful as the current standard.

I just have a feature request for Vortex UI.  I've tried a couple themes but they all have a common problem: there is no option to highlight selected mods. No, highlighting with a dark colour on a dark background does not count as viewable.

Yeah this new UI is a total disappointment. Using search with a custom date range leaves out results meaning you have to use 'all time' and go through everything. Uninformative mod thumbnails take up most of the page and browsing feels like a chore compared to the old list view. Each game had a stylized  design for their corresponding mod hub page that added character and charm to the site, but now it's gone.  Between this and the censorship by admins banning for political or ideological reasons and intentionally cutting off access to the old layout I can't see myself posting here or recommending this place ever again.

I agree.  I am using zloybelka's version of Stylus to make the website and forums lighter, but the site is still depressing with everything basically different shades of grey and black.

I know there is a list view now, but it is just not the same feel.

I visit a website regularly that has Russian as it's primary language.  Just to the left of the search box (almost the identical spot to where it would be on NM), there is a button to switch to English.  One click and the whole website changes completely to a new language.  Why can't we have a "classic view" button that does the same thing.  New users or old ones that like the new layout can use the new layout, others can switch to classic view and everyone can be happy.

My job is sitting in a building that is empty for most of the year.  I am allowed to bring my personal laptop and do whatever I want most of the day.  Before the website change, I would spend at least an hour everyday on NM, browsing mods across several games to see what was new or old that I may have missed in the past.  Now I check for anything new for Fallout 4, check the forums for improvements to the current layout, then log off as quickly as possible.  I don't think the web designers understand that connection to the user that has been lost.  I'm sure the new website is mobile friendly, and disability compliant, and easier to program but it has lost its charm and its soul.

Because it would be absurd to have to maintain two different versions of the website.

Opinions vary.  Are you on salary with NM?  You seem to defend everything they do as perfectly fine and the rest of the sites users other than you are idiots.

Not idiots.  Just weirdly convinced that Nexus Mods should hire extra staff to maintain old versions of the site.  There are better uses for that money, most notably: giving it to the mod authors.
