We are currently moving different bits of feedback into separate threads. This is so that we can better group your suggestions by theme, which will be more useful to us than one ever-expanding mega-thread. As always, we appreciate your continued feedback. Please keep your comments as civil and constructive as possible.

This section is for feedback related to the new Quick Search.

There is no quick search anymore. Don't try to pretend like the thing we have now is a quick search. Going from instant results that appear in a small, unintrusive portion of the window you were already using, to having to open up a new popup window that covers the entire screen and forces you to slick through several filters to get what you want is not quick. Just because you can open it with a hotkey now instead of a button click doesn't make it quick, as the number of people who use this feature will be relatively tiny. Instead you're slowing people down by adding extra keystrokes to navigate the filters (seriously, why would anyone use the quick search to select their game instead of using the games tab? why crowd out all the other stuff like that?), making us move our eyes farther to the middle of the screen instead of the area around the search bar we were already looking at, making us waste extra keystrokes by having to click the "view all" button after hitting enter to actually use the damn search function, and making things very annoying if you were trying to type out text from a mod page, by covering up and blurring everything on said page. None of this is quick. This not a quick search. My email is quicker at searching than this. Revert this terrible change, and all the other terrible changes while you're at it.

The default should be "mods" when user already on Mod page, not "All content", dont force us to see other part of Nexus page, yea collection is cool, but thats once in a year thingin meanwhile checking "mods" is like a daily stuff and you guys ruined the flow with these extra steps. Its the modding DNA to check mod, even at CurseForge, Thunderstore, Modworkshop, Sims CC and GTAinside all defaults for "mod" page first. Everyday we stray further from the core. Its infuriating seeing this change of UX flow design after 5 years using Nexus. This action to bait new user for them to discover other part of game and "Collection" for what exactly? Dont want to go full conspiracy with corpo shenanigans.

Hi,

In the new style, I miss the quick search function. I found it very convenient that the search results were displayed immediately on the same page. The way it is now, it's a step backwards in terms of usability.

Please bring back the quick search function.

Currently you can only search by one or more separate words. If you input "sequence of words" it will search for mods that have "sequence", "of", and "words" in description, not "sequence of words". It would be nice to be able to search for full text if you put these words between quotation marks.

Example use case - I want to search for NPC overhaul that utilizes "Vanilla Hair Remake" mod (it would be listed in credits), but since I can't search for specific word sequence, I have to analyze every mod personally one by one.
